SAPPHO

ἑσπέρα πάντα φέρων ὅσα φαίνολις ἐσκέδασ' αὔως,

φέρεις ὄιν, φέρεις αἶγα, φέρεις ἄπυ μάτερι παῖδα.

Hesperus, bringing everything that bright dawn scattered; you bring the sheep, you bring the goat, you bring the child back to its mother.
